Company - This company is a leading manufacturer of oscilloscopes and other test instrumentation.

Project - The company had worked with Hyperion Enterprise to support consolidation and financial reporting for a number of years.  With increasing demands on the consolidation process that included more "non financial" data and a desire to support budgeting and forecasting, the company determined to improve the existing system.  A small team of Strafford consultants engaged to review the existing implementation and help fully qualify future requirements.  Strafford identified a number of areas for improvement, including the possibility of upgrading the existing Hyperion Enterprise deployment. 

When the company determined to source new software, packages from Cognos, OutlookSoft, Infor, and Hyperion were evaluated.  As a result of the Strafford "deterministic" requirements framework, the company was quickly able to evaluate the selected packages against their need.  The software buying team, with the consent of the CFO and CIO, selected Infor PM.  In a follow-on selection process, Strafford won the implementation project.

The resulting engagement improved existing issues with data management, allowed for more detailed consolidation reports without complexity, and fully supported the budget and forecasting processes.
