Strafford’s team is led by three individuals who each bring a unique and strengthening focus to the mission of our crew.
Steve Berry
Steve founded Strafford in 1995 to fulfill his obligation to NYNEX, later Verizon Communications, by building one of the first true Performance Management solutions. The resultant system provided key feedback to maintenance across the entire landline infrastructure. Through his determination and that of the Strafford team, Steve resolved many of the challenges Business Intelligence systems encountered before most of the best practice and next generation technology had even been created. Through two generations of technology, the solution provided key insight to thousands of employees, leveraged billions of dollars in infrastructure, and continued to add value through a series of mergers and reorganizations. While Verizon Communications benefited from over ten years of Strafford leadership in this key area, Steve ensured Strafford built out a leading approach as Business Intelligence evolved to Performance Management. Strafford’s growth during this time has led to Strafford receiving numerous awards, including the Deloitte & Touché Fast 500, the New England Fast 50, and the Inc 500 list of fastest-growing private companies.
Adib Khartabil
Adib joined Steve in 2001 through the merger of his consulting practice into Strafford. He has been singularly responsible for the continued development of Strafford best practice on both the consulting and technology sides of our work. Working for years in business systems development across a range of enterprise technology, Adib learned the practical benefits of focusing on the business user. From that base of experience, he continually drives our work with a passion for creating the informed business leader throughout the organization – the leader in possession of the right information at the right time to make the best decision for his organization. Not content to build out a technology implementation practice without foresight to the business, Adib has staked out significant ground for Strafford in a key area of Performance Management – Consolidation. With a technology world increasingly focused on transactional system consolidation, most companies still find themselves lacking the context to integrate financial data with operational data toward the key metrics that truly matter. Scott Crow
The newest member of Strafford’s leadership team, Scott has helped to build out the breadth of our consulting and technology offerings in Performance Management. Harkening back to his leadership days onboard a United States Navy fast attack submarine, Scott implicitly understands the value of true insight supporting the decision making process. As he grew to achieve success in the “performance feedback loop” created when operating nuclear warships at sea, Scott’s passion is to provide Strafford clients with a similar dynamic. He has been instrumental as Strafford has helped new and existing clients develop the dynamic that moves their organizations forward toward growth of a true Performance Management culture.
